I'm trying to upgrade from redhat 4.1 to redhat 5.0 by FTP. Everything
seems to work fine until I get to the part where it is looking for the
exisiting linux installation and it can't find it. I do have to pass the
following parameters to the kernel in order to be able to boot correctly:
hda=8960,15,63 hda=noprobe hdb=cdrom
without those the kernel hangs while booting. However, when I do pass
those, I get a message near the end of the init sequence that says that it
doesn't understand the argument. Currently, I have NT on /dev/hda1, a
swap partition on /dev/hda2 and linux on /dev/hda3. Any thoughts or ideas
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
