Hi,
The make config, make dep, make clean steps are OK.
But at make zImage(or bzImage) I got errors.
Could anyone tell me what are following errors about, and
what I should necessarily do to go around them:
make zImage
make[1]Entering directory'/usr/src/linux-2.0.32/arch/i386/boot'
gcc -D__KERNEL__-I/usr/src/linux-2.0.32/include -E -D__ELF___traditional -DSVG
A_MODE=NORMAL_VGA bootsect.S -o bootsect.S
make[1]:as86:command not found
make[1]:***[bootsect.o] ERROR 127
make[1]:leaving directory'/usr/src/linux-2.0.32/arch/i386/boot'
make:***[zImage] error 2
and sometimes it ends like this:
make:***[vmlinux]Error 1
I m really determined to end with this kernel recompilation nightmare..this
is why i m readin
all docs/man pages/how to's on recompilin kernel..and did retry the make
config step on different ways durin hours
..pls help me.
