I had problems with Xconfigurator in Red Hat 5.1and NO problems with it in 4.2 or 5.0. As a matter of fact I'm glad I saved my /etc/X11/XF86Config files from the 5.1 sessions I did.
I now have a floppy with copies of all four Red Hat machines XF86Config I have here at home. I use these "copies-on-floppies" whenever I do an upgarde that demands a reconfigure of X.
I'm a steelworker by trade and do what works easy.
Two of my four machines are "dual-booted" to Win95(a) so they are open to catastrophe at any time, like NOW while I'm posting this from swindles95 after a Photoshop job.
