Installing on RAID...

Hi!

I have the following system:
- Siemens Nixdorf Primergy 460 w/ 2 333MHz PentiumIIs
- 2 Adaptec SCSI-Controllers (1 onboard, 1 PCI)
- Mylex DAC960 Hardware RAID Controller

I installed Linux on a "normal" SCSI drive on one of the Adaptecs, patched
the DAC960 driver into the kernel tree (2.0.35) and compiled for RAID and
SMP. Now I'm booting from the "normal" disk with the SMP/RAID kernel and
have both CPUs (according to /proc/cpuinfo) and the Mylex running. I
installed the special fdisk/lilo binaries and partitioned the RAID set... so
far, so good.

Now I want to boot off the RAID set - I tried dd'ing the original root
partition (from the "normal" SCSI-disk) to the RAID set. I can now mount
this partition and have modified /etc/fstab and lilo.conf (restarted lilo
with "lilo -C /mounted_RAID_set/etc/lilo.conf -b /dev/rd/c0d0p1").

I still can't boot off the Mylex and am having trouble creating a swap
partition on the RAID set (mkswap runs just fine, but swapon claims "Device
or resource busy").

Any help would be appreciated!

Regards
Mike
