I finally got Samba configured and up and
running. (RH 5.1, kernal 2.0.35, Linksys NE2000 card: io=0x280,
irq=9).
I can see my Linux box on my Win98 system in the
entire networks directory as with any other Win system, which is
fantastic. However, whenever I double click or try to open the Linux box
directory in my windows file browser (Explorer) it prompts me for a password,
which I did not set up to do. I've tried every conceivable password I can
think of. What am I missing in the smb.conf file? I DON'T want
password access right now; if that's not possible, what does Samba set as the
default pw?
Thanks in advance.
