Xfree AGP problem?

Hello..

        just a few questions on installing XFree (the version that ships
with
RedHat 5.1). I am having trouble with it probing my Matrox Millenium. It
detects it as a PCI card fine and installs the SVGA server then I enter
my monitor settings but once it continues probing the monitor cuts out
but the system continues. I shutdown the system blindly then mess around
again.
        I have a DiamondFireGL AGP also installed under windows and am
assuming
this is the cause of my hassles as the MAtrox card works fine on my
other non-AGP system. Can I disable AGP under Linux. Does anyone have
any ideas as to the problem.. Can two cards be in the system
simultaneously or is to much to ask???
