My understanding is that it should *not* terminate the high bits on the
internal bus. Is it at the end of the bus, or does the wide device come
after it? If the wide device comes after, this explains why you can't
negotiate the wide device.

P.S. Sorry to have forwarded it to the list - I almost made the mistake
myself of hooking up all three connectors, so I assumed you had as
