PAP Info from ISP

I just installed RedHat 5.1 and Im trying to setup PPP.  I am trying to find
out from my ISP (BELLSOUTH.NET) if they use PAP, CHAP etc, but not one
person in there technical support had any idea of what I was talking about.
Does anyone use this ISP & have PPP running.

And if Technical Support can not help me who can?
