Networkcard installation

Hello...

myabe you guys can help me here....
in the installation i told him to find a ne2000 network card... and he
did... it was no problem... and when    he boots he lists that he found a
network card at irq5 and io 300 and he doesn't give an error... i set my
router as the gateway (like I do with all the other computers in the
network) but for some reason he will not ping the others in the network...
and the others can't reach him either with telnet or something else... when
i enter the ip-address my router goes into the interenet to look for the
192.168.10.1 .... something is fishy.... all help is appreciated...
