I've never run into this one before...
Machine
FIC PA-2013 ATX motherboard
K6-2/300 3x100mhz
128 Meg ECC ram
S3 GX2 AGP Video card
NetGear "Tulip" ethernet card
1.2 gig Conner IDE (just for initial install - I'll add the SCSI drives
after I compile a new kernel)
Boot diskettes:
5.1 boot and supp images from the updates directory
Symptoms
Booting from the boot floppy. System loads the initrd image, System loads
the vmlinuz image and either locks up or fails with a crc error after
about 3 "dots" in the uncompressing kernel phase.
This is a new one on me. I've installed 4.2, 5.0 and 5.1 each several
times and never run into this problem
Any ideas? Thanks for the help.
