Since Linux is not Windows - that's the whole point ;-) - you'll have to
change your habits a bit to avoid problems. Firstly I'm suprised to hear
you can get the CD-ROM out of the player while it's still mounted.
Normally, this shouldn't be possible. Just in case you've a special CD-ROM
player that can do it, your problem will occur if Linux detects another
CD-ROM instead of the one you mounted the player with. Your problem could
be solved by inserting the "original" CD-ROM. And last but not least, you
can't unmount a CD-ROM player while browsing its contence, t.i. being in
the mount directory. Just leave the CD-ROM dir and it should be okay.
