Before completely giving up you should contact the tech support and ask
them what's wrong. I hardly can believe this is something that can't
be solved. However, there are a few things I would like to know - that
will maybe provoke some feedback from the list to help you pinpoint the
problem - like why should you buy the whole package instead of the
upgrade, why it should cost $ 99.00 instead of the upgrade price since
you're already owner of a ApplixWare package and why you should have to
remove the ancient install before doing a knew one!?? Isn't is supposed to
upgrade the old package?
