Really? The 755CD never had a problem with this.
Therefore, I doubt the 600 series will. In fact,
I've never had that problem on 385X's, 755CD's, 760's, or 560's.
(I've personally installed on all of those models.)
The only problem I ever had with Thinkpads were:
1. MWave anything simply will not work (700 series used this for
the builtin DSP modem -- suck.)
2. The dual-scan screens can give X a lot of trouble.
Get the TFT. It's worth it.
