I have WinNT and Redhat 5.1 working well together. However they are on
separate hard drives. I installed NT first and use ntboot loader to choose
the OS to boot. I installed lilo on the root partition on the linux drive
and used bootpart
(http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/gvollant/bootpart.htm )
to add linux to NT's boot.ini and make sure that mbr was still in NT's
control. The same procedure should work on one hard drive as long as you
keep the Linux root-boot below the 1024th cylinder. Surprised that
Micro$oft had anything to say about this procedure!
