An tftp server does have ANY athentication. Depending on the particular
tftp server you are running, it may read the /etc/passwd file and use the
tftp account's home directory. I usually put the directory I want the
tftp server to use in the /etc/inetd.conf file.
To put files on the tftp server, the tftp home directory must contain
the file that is writeable by the user id that the tftp servers runs as.
When you do a "put" command, you may have to use the full path of the file
you want to place. Usually you don't have to specify the full path when
you do a "get".
I hope this helps.
