Help: XDMCP, GNOME, RedHat 6.0 ?

Hi.

Old configuration:

I have RedHat v5.2 (2.0.36) with GNOME gdm (GNOME display manager) running
on 1 machine,
and NT with Exceed running X server client. I can emulate X on the NT
machine and see
the GDM login screen, then login, and run some X apps.

New configuration:

But with RedHat v6.0 (2.2.5-15) it just displays a grey background with an
X-Windows X cursor.
No login screen, nothing.

Does anybody know why this happens in 6.0 ?

BTW, if i change /etc/inittab -> runlevel 5: from gdm -> xdm, it works. I
can then login
and run some X apps from X emulator on NT.

I've had a look at /etc/X11/gdm and associated files but I can't figure it
out.

Please help...

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
