Can't logout

Hello all.

I have Linux Mandrake 6
(RedHat 5.2)

Sometimes when I try to logout of GNOME/E,
it just won't do it and thats extremely frustrating.

I then have to do a ps ax and find the gnome-session and
kill it manually---eww.

Is there something wrong with gnome?
