Assume your printer is called "lp".  then go to /var/spool/lpd/lp and look
at the file postscript.cfg  Mine looks like this:

# configuration related to postscript printing
# generated automatically by PRINTTOOL
# manual changes to this file may be lost
#
GSDEVICE=POSTSCRIPT
RESOLUTION=300x300
COLOR=
PAPERSIZE=letter
EXTRA_GS_OPTIONS=""
REVERSE_ORDER=
PS_SEND_EOF=NO


To figure this out you look at the IF: line in the /etc/printcap file
and follow the "self documenting code".  You will see that the filter
sources the above file.
