I am a new user of Linux and recently purchased Red Hat 5.2. I was
looking forward to installing it on my brand new IBM Aptiva model 530
(AMD-K6-2; 475MHz), and using Lilo to dual boot Linux and Win 98.
First I backed up my DOS files and removed the drive partition. Then I
made a primary DOS partition to take up 2/3 the drive. I ran the Linux
installation program by booting from the CD, intending to use the
remaining 1/3 of my hard drive for Linux. When I got to the disk druid
program, I couldn't make any Linux partitions because the program
indicated I had negative hard drive space free.
