Okidata Printer

Hello,
    I just got my Redhat 5.2 system up and running. I am trying to get my Okidata Okipage 6e to work under this setup. I found documentation on the net that stated I should set it up using the HP laserjet 4/5/6 with send EOF "on" and fix stair step "on" and fast print "off" 
    I have done all of this but all I can get out of the printer when I try to run a test is the light blinking and it warms up but it does not print. It works under NT, it is supposed to work under Linux if setup as above. I have set it up as a PCL printer under NT as required int the instructions as well. 
    I have tried both Print ASCII page and Print ASCII directly to port with the same results. 
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
