OKI and Alps printer

I sent a message that said most of this yesterday, but I did not see it show up in my mailbox so I am sending a new one...

Thanks to everyone who helped me with my Okidata printer problem, the printer was set to automatically detect which emulation to use so I used the DOS program to set it to HP4 and after rebooting to Linux it worked like a champ.

As far as Alps not supporting Linux with drivers, I intend to find out the names and addresses of decision makers at Alps and ask them to support Linux by publishing drivers. I intend to do this by sending actual snail-mail letters. I feel that they will get a better response than email.
