My HP-6200C scanner worked fine, under RH5.1.
When I upgraded to RH6.0 it disappeared from the list
of devices recognized by the sane software. I am
wondering if this could be a scsi problem.
I have three scsi devices attached to my
Buslogic BT-958. The hard disk and the
HP DAT tape are working fine.
During the boot sequence, all three devices are
correctly identified.
For the first two, a
"Detected ..." message appears, giving the
device node with which the unit has been associated,
as the scsi address.
For the third, however, no "Detected ..." message
appears.
Here is an excerpt from the boot log, illustrating this:

----------------------------------------------------
Note the lack of the "Detected .." message for the third unit. Note
also that its scsi address (0/5) is correct.
I am wondering which, if any, device node has been assigned? If I
new that, I could link it to the scan software.
