without knowing more, I would say that your redhat isn't finding what it needs on the disk where it expects it.
I'm thinking you're going to need to go to the rescue disk for this one and take a good look at your lilo.conf
I had a friend that had this same problem, he found that his disk had become slightly corrupted (not sure what caused it)
