Install on 486/33 - UPDATE

Thanks to all for your suggestions. I was able to get RedHat Linux
running on my PC by re-fdisking and creating many 500mb partitions.
Then using DiskDruid, I deleted all but 2 (reserved the space for Win95)
and created the Linux partitions.

Linux installed with no probs, and I even created a user account.
During the install, it asked for monitor details (resolution, type,
etc). I have a fairly old PC (Olivetti - anyone heard of it?) and I
wasn't sure the monitor type. I tried to pick a generic VGA 640x480,
but had to answer "no" when asked if I could see the image.

This being said, i may have fluked out and found a correct config for
the monitor, because i kept picking what I thought was the closest to my
monitor, the install finished, and I was albe to poke around Linux a
bit. (lots of disk caching going on).

Unfortunately, the displayed image goes off the screen (both above and
below the physical viewing area), so I can barely see the buttons on the
bottom of the screen.

Here's the question: how can i change my monitor's settings to 'shrink'
the image to fit the viewing area? Linux automatically loads GNOME, so
I'm not even sure how to get to the command line.

Any and all help is appreciated.
Jody
