This concerns me.  These can be problematic.

Use Linux's fdisk (not disk druid) and you'll be able to see
exactly what is what.

Did all of the filesystem get created before any errors?
You just got LI on reboot?
If so, then you should be able to reload LILO--if you're below 1024.
If not, then a boot disk _should_ work, but then I'm still not sure
what role the DDO plays here.  Do you have the recovery floppy
the install wanted you to make?  Or was that what you tried?
