I concur with Mike Dreibelbis on Tcl/Tk and Perl/Tk. However, I highly recommend
Python, which is OO and runs on any platform. I've used Python on the Mac, Win,
and Linux platforms. Check out www.python.org for the latest FREE version.
Also, RH 6.0 comes with version 1.5.1; you'll have to load the development RPMs
though. There is also an O'Reilly book "Learning Python" that guides you up the
learning curve. It has bindings to almost any other language you can think of as
well, eg., Java, C/C++, Perl, etc.
