SMC ethernet INSMOD trouble

Well, Im running rh6, and i found the drivers for my SMC Ultra 10MB
Ethernet card in the /usr/src/linux/drivers/net directory, so i gcc'ed it.

So its compiled without an error, I got my object (.o) file and everything,
and I go to Insmod it.

It says that it could not be inserted because it is unsure what kernel
version it is compiled under/for.

I just compiled it myself! I tried insmod -f (force) with no luck.

This is the second card in the box, and its being setup as a firewall.

This is probobly a routine insmod problem, but please help.
