RE: Configuring HP Dat for redhat



While I don't have the exact same unit as you I believe the switches are the
same.

Switch 1 & 2 control the compression
Switch 3 in the on position disables MRS
Switch 4 - 8 are defaulted to on and are changed for various software platforms.

For example, the switches are set as following for various operating systems:

Switches 1  2  3  4  5  6  7  8

SUN      1  1  1  1  1  0  0  1
RS/6000  1  1  0  1  1  0  0  1 
DEC      1  1  0  1  1  0  1  0
HP-UX    1  1  0  1  1  1  1  1
