Step by Step Help needed with Intel 810 video

I have a new Dell computer with an onboard "Intel 810 chip set with Dynamic
Video Memory and 4-MB display cache video". I want to install RedHat Linux
6.1 on it and am having problems. Red Hat tech support tells me the Intel
810 isn't officially supported, so they can't help me.

Here's what I've found so far. There is now an XFCOM server for the i810
chipset's on-board video system. It is maintained (currently) by Precision
Insight at www.precisioninsight.com. Currently, you need both the XFCom_i810
server AND the I819Gtt kernel module (which allows Linux to allocate the
Video memory from main RAM). Check out
ftp://ftp.precisioninsight.com/pub/precisio/XFCom. Seems to be available
only in RPM format for now. (this information found at

I've gone to this FTP site and read the README.i810 file but do not
understand what I need to do. I know how to use FTP to download files to the
computer and how to install packages from the command line. Beyond that, I'm
not certain how to proceed.

The readme doesn't mention the I819Gtt kernel but does talk about an
'agpgart.o' module which may have to be compiled.

I would very much appreciate a step by step for how to proceed.
