Firewall stops logging

I have a RH6.1 installed with a wanpipe leased-line card.
I installed kernel 2.2.12 and wanpipe 2.1.1 software.

I composed a set of rules to install a filtering firewall through ipchains.

Everything went as planed. But after the cron-task that does the
logrotation the kernel has stopt logging firewall messages to my syslog.

The firewall still functions normally, and 'ipchains -L' reports the
logflags still set. Reinstalling the ruleset after flushing them first
doesn't make the logging start again.

At this moment I don't even see any direction where to look for any
(configuration)errors. Kernel? Wanpipe? Logrotate?

Does this all make any sense to anyone of you. Please give me some light in
the darkness!!!!
