Re: Newbie: Resolution Problem



For some reason XFree86 and SiS cards just don't get along. There are two
ways to fix the problem, and both generally work well:

1) Add the following options to your /etc/X11/XF86Config:

   Options "noaccel"
   Options "sw_cursor"
   Options "no_bitblt"

2) Grab SuSE's very generous new XFCom_SiS X server (please note source is
   not available, if that bothers you):

   http://www.suse.de/en/support/xsuse/#sis

   The only instruction change is instead of this:

   rpm -e xsvga

   do this:

   rpm -e XFree86-SVGA
