Remove LILO from MBR?

    I made a mistake and loaded the LILO into MBR.
    Now I want to remove the LILO from MBR since I need to install
WindowsNT whose loader needs to be in MBR too. Does anybody know how to
do that? - even though this means I need to reinstall Linux.

    I tried to format the 1st partition as FAT and NTFS, but neither was
accepted  when I tried to install NT or 98 in that partition. Got
"partition has been damaged" something like that.
    Can anybody help me out?
