Santa delivered a lump of coal for Christmas. Guess I'm not on the
"Nice List". Here's what happened:
After modifying networking files in the /etc directory
(sysconfig/network, HOSTNAME, hosts, host.conf, resolv.conf and maybe
services, nsswitch.conf and whatever netcfg modifies) with the netcfg
utility and manually with vi, we cannot reboot.
We tried the installation CDs but still the black screen. Even with a
DOS diskette with the system files on it, we still get the black
screen. Is there software we could download from the web that enables
us to check the BIOS settings (or whatever?!) so we can get to a point
where we can reinstall RH6.0 or RH6.1?
