I have a dsl connection here. Lucent is putting the chips inside an analog
modem to do the translation. I don't see anything different from the
current dsl implementation. They claim that a splitter won't have to be
installed and that saves a service call. Otherwise everything else appears
the same. In short, linux is ready for Lucent and Lucent is ready for linux.
