DHCP problems

hi
i have just installed redhat 5.1 for intel from the powertools CD, my DHCP fails, i have included the relevant messages. Please help. my system is dual boot linux/win98 and dhcp under win98 works fine
this is what i see on the bootup screen
loading device 'eth0'...
eth0: 3Com 3c905B Cyclone 100baseTx at 0xe400, 00:10:5a:ac:14:b8, IRQ 11
8K byte-wide RAM 5:3 Rx:Tx split, autoselect/10baseT interface.
Enabling bus-master transmits and whole-frame receives.
Using DHCP for eth0.... failed
dmesg gives the following output
