I've just recently run into an odd problem with kickstart installs (5.2).
One one particular machine (which happens to have a slightly odd disk
geometry) the kickstart disks refuse to partition the drive.
Here is the relevant section of the config:
clearpart --all
part swap --size 128
part "/afscache" --size 170
part "/" --size 600
I normally have the "/" partition be --size 1 with --grow. I chose all the
above partition sizes to insure that all the partitions lie below cylinder
1024.
For some reason, whenever I boot, I get an error saying something along the
lines of "Not all partitions were able to be allocated. A list follows", and
it lists "swap" with the reason "not enough free space".
I am able to partition the drive manually without any problems, but I don't
want to do a manual install unless I have to.
Any ideas?
