Midi plug-ins

Hi
I was wondering if anyone knew about the midi plug-ins
available for netscape 4.05.
I installed the plug-in and it acts like it's playing but
it's silent.
I know for a fact that xplaymidi-awe32, xplaymidi, and
playmidi all work most excellently, however I don't use
regular fm synth, just configged for awe on my SB-AWE64.
I wonder if the midi plugins have to use the fm synth?
I thought of writing a script file called playmidi,
re-name the "playmidi" binary file to "playmidia", then in the script
say:
#!/bin/sh
playmidia -a %s
So that whenever something invoked playmidi it would use
the AWE option, like the plugins.
Any corrections or ideas?
Thank you
