Hard drive problems?

Hi,

I was installing on a Maxtor 1.3 GB hard drive, using custom install
mode from the RH 5.2 CD, and kept getting this error message after
naming the partitions: "Error reading header at 1277182". I kept backing
up to previous screens and trying again. The error reading header at
number would sometimes change but the problem was still there. After
many tries it worked and the install proceeded with no additional
problems. I saw the same thing happen when I did my first install on a
240MB drive. Has anyone seen this problem? Does the RedHat disk have
problems or do I have some flakey hardware? Does error reading header
refer to the hard drive or the cd-rom drive?
