installing mouse

When installing  RedHat5.2 the mouse type could not be determined.

Has anyone correctly configured for a Genius Mouse 2000? This is a
3-button mouse
with a switch on the bottom to select between 2 and three buttons.

I came close by config'n as a Mouse Systems mouse. That worked in a
terminal
window (cut and paste included), but will not work in X!

Tis mouse worked fine under Slakware 3.0 by the way, XX included.
