Re: NIC - ifconfig - urgent!



Mr Cato wanted to know..........
I believe the difference between compiling modules directly into the
kernel, as opposed to compiling them using the "m" option,  is that in
the latter case , they wont load at all unless the kerneld daemon is
running to dynamically load/unload them as they are required. Obviously,
the latter situation is preferable instead of the kernel having all
these modules loaded which might not be getting used.
