PhilipsCM250 CD-Rom Drive

I'm trying to Instal redhat on an older 486 (windows has kind of abandoned it
so what the hey! And I'm trying to get it to install I have a Philips cm250 cd
card and an External Single speed Drive Any one had any run in's with these??
if so Please Give me a Post Back
Normaly I would try installing it frm my dos part. But the drive is only 211
MB Total so I don't have a whole lot of room to play with

PS I don't care about Mounting the CD-ROM and using it I just want to install
onto this drive.
