	Thanks for the reply. I actually have a two part problem as I have
a dual-boot system and wonder how *swindles 95* will adjust the
drive letters.

 BTW I'm still on the 2.0.36 kernel,

So am I

 (mind you, pureists would never let their firewall also be a print
server. . . I'm not a pureist).
</snip>

	Actually, the machine is the only Linux machine that I have
printing color, this is a home network of 4 machines. I've had CDR
drive two days and had it in my slower 586-100mz (swindles 95)
machine with one drive but it was slower than *%%**# !!, and the
Adaptec software had me switch CD's from the music CD to the blank
CD 10 time to record the 10 songs from one CD to the blank one !!!!
????

	I have tons of hard drive room and *thought that it would copy the
whole CD to disk THEN copy the whole album from disk to blank CD in
one swoop.

****************************** Problem TWO **********************

	When I do get both CD drives in and working, what
"commands/software" in LINUX will do the copy ? How about (root) dd
if=/dev/hdb1 of=/dev/hdb2 (you get what I mean ?
