install question

I am fairly new to Linux and I have a question about the installation. I
am trying to install Red-Hat 5.2 and everything goes fine up to the point
just after Disk Druid partitions my disk. The next step, partitioning the
swap partition, occurs without any complaints. But when the following
step happens, Finish Installation (I think), I get an error dialog which
says, "Find Installation Files error reading header at 143780." Sometimes
the integer value is different.

One issue in the installation was the first time through I noticed that
Disk Druid didn't have the cylinder, head, sector numbers correct for my
hard disk (hda) and I solved that problem using the command Linux
hda=4092,16,63 at the boot prompt. After that Disk Druid had the numbers
right. I got those numbers from my BIOS settings and I believe them to
be accurate.

I am doing a clean install, that is I have no other OS on the machine and
all partitions will be Linux native.

Is there something I have neglected?
