Hello,
I recently helped my friend to install RHL 5.2 on his compoutrer. At
install time, we skipped the Network Card configuration thinking that we
would need a special driver from the manufacturer. It turns out that we
can use the tulip driver that is provided with redhat. So, I am
wondering, how do I get this driver to work. I believe that this is a
loadable module, so I used the kernel configuration tool from the
control panel to add eth0. Is this the way to do it? Also, what
parameters do I need to pass. Currrently I'm just passing the irq as i
couldn't find the i/o address (at least in 0x*** form) when I was
getting his system information in windows (how do I find this info?).
The card is a Linksys 10/100 PCI card, and though I'm not sure what the
exact model number is, I do know that it is supported (or at least some
people have gotten it to work). Thanks in advance for any help any of
you can offer.
Later,
Geoff
