I saw a test with Linux (Apache) and NT (IIS4.0) in the last c't magazin.
Tey saw the Mindcraft test and made their own tests now. With only ONE
networkcard Linux is normally faster or as fast as NT. If you use two NICs
then the IIS4.0 is much faster than Linux

"These tests follow the controversial NT/Linux comparison conducted by
independent benchmarking operation Mindcraft Inc. and
sponsored by Microsoft Corp. ( MICROSOFT !! ) The Linux community had cried
foul after this April match, which found NT to be 400 percent faster than
Linux."
Could linux really be 4 x slower then NT ? ( 400% ) This test was
sponsored by Microsoft, isn't that the real reason why NT is 400 percent
faster then Linux,
I will not be surprized to see another very well sponsored "test" by
Microsoft where NT will beat IBM's deep blue by 40000% in computing
power......
I think this and any other test by Microsoft will not be quite accurate
