Hi;
I am using (right now!) a Motorola Modem Surfer
28.8 External.
It was really flaky and the LED's were extremely
bright, so bright that you noticed it. I could connect
to my ISP and after the password was verified it died.
I checked the modular power suppply and it was the
correct one - 12 VAC.
I replaced it with a 9 VAC one and all the problems
went away. The LED's now look normal.
