Hi all,
I'm trying to run Apache with RedHat and am having the following
problems with the system:
1. I can't seem to set the linux system time permanently. Every time i
reboot, the system time returns to the previous incorrect time, which
is exactly
5.0 hours earlier than the correct time.
2. How do i set the hostname of my machine when booting? My etc/hosts
file
looks like so:
127.0.0.1 localhost
localhost.localdomain
204.132.2.121 troutlogic troutlogic.com
I want the hostname of troutlogic but can only seem to do it from
the
command line after boot. it always seems to default to localhost
when booting.
3. I want to run Apache with an ISP connection. I have a registered
domain name ( troutlogic.com ).
Is it possible to run my webserver as troutlogic.com via my ISP? In
other words, if
i am connected to the internet via my ISP and i have my web server
running, will i be
able to connect to troutlogic.com through the ISP, or does someone
have to host my domain name
anyways?
thanx in advance,
-KeV
