ATA/66, Abit BP6 RH Install problems

I'm trying to install RH 6.0 on a new machine (Clean Install) and I can't.
Here is the HW setup:

Abit BP6 (Celeron 300a PPGA, Dual)
256MB RAM
IBM ATA/66 Drive

ide0-pri ATAPI CD-ROM
ide0-sec none
ide1-pri ATAPI CD-RW
ide1-sec none
ide2-pri IBM ATA/66 Drive
ide2-sec none
ide3-pri none
ide3-sec none

The ATA/66 controller starts at ide2.  I tried passing the following
commands to the boot prompt as follows:

boot: linux ide2=0x1e8,0x3ee,11

I watched the boot process recognize ide0 and ide1 but at some point later
in the boot process there is an error that basically says: Unknown
Optional parameters ide2=0x1e8,0x3ee,11

Any ideas on where I'm going wrong?
