I agree with the frustration of the rest of the post. I have a
Laptop Toshiba 2130CS (no CDROM) so I naturally have always had to do
FTP installs in the past, no big deal but when I decided to try
Mandrake 6.0 which I am REAL fond of (since Mandrake 5.2 worked
GREAT) on my desktop boxes it didn't recognize my 3C589D pcmcia card.
I don't mind that kind of error after an install on a desktop using
a CDROM, things can be done, but to have my _bootnet.img_ fail to see
a card of that description at install time doesn't leave you with a
whole lot of options at hand. I've crossed/swapped install disks in
the past to get by but seeing it was just a leisure install I
reverted back to RH6.0
Sometimes there is just no reason for the madness.
