Does
anybody know of a booteata.img for Redhat Version 6.0 ?
I'm
trying to install Redhat 6.0 on a server with a DPT SmartCache SCSI Controller
(PM2012B) for several weeks now. The regular install with the EATA DMA driver
selected causes 'kernel panic'. After trying all kinds of paramters (eata =
port1, port2 etc / chaning the controller settings, disabling timeout checks,
cahcing etc) I found the booteata.img for Redhat version 5.2 and it worked like
a charm !!!
Unfortunately it didn't like the kernel version (of course) in
conjunction with my RH 6.0 CD. Support could not help me so far (Tier 2 now) and
I'm getting desperate in finding a new version of booteata.img. Any suggestions
welcome !
Thank
you.
